The first five days after the mandated order, the day rate of growth slowed by 0.9 percentage points compared with the five days previous; the daily growth rate had slowed by 2% points at three weeks.
- Third, coronavirus death. Another study compared coronavirus deaths across 198 countries and found that death rates were lower for those with cultural norms or government policies that favor mask-wearing.
