Seaqual recycled polyester is certified by several independent third-party organizations and meets high quality and sustainability standards, including some of the most relevant certification standards for textiles.

Global Recycled Standard

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS) is an international standard that sets requirements for third-party certification of recycled input. The GRS is a full product standard that dictates social and environmental practices and chemical restrictions.

The goal of the GRS is to drive higher percentages of the recycled content in products and reduce the harmful impact of production on people and the environment.

The GRS aligns with recycled definitions across multiple applications and follows the ISO 14021 definition, with interpretations based on the United States Federal Trade Commission Green Guides. The Standard verifies the recycled content in products to allow consumers to make informed decisions.

Our Official Eco-friendly Certificates

At SAPPHIRE, one of the most priority tasks is to avoid manufacturing practices that produce more plastic, instead seeking out recycled materials to design products. Thus, Sapphire extends its partnership with SEAQUAL – the innovative project that transforms marine litter into high-quality recycled products. In 2022, Sapphire launches a new range of reusable and recyclable carrier bags made from end-of-life fishing nets and ropes.

Using our bag products, you are helping to reduce and prevent pollution of the marine environment, as well as make fishing activities more favorable.
