Main Processes Of Reusable Shopping Bags Production

PP shopping bags have shown up recently in the world market and are quickly getting more popular, these bags are developed out of polypropylene resins, a type of polymer that is derived from crude oil. Mainly produced in Asian countries special in Vietnam, they are very popular as they are much more cost-effective and durable than standard carrier bags.

These bags are also much more sustainable for the environment. Woven shopping bags are manufactured in mass quantities, similar to paper or plastic shopping bags that most people are familiar with. However, there are some significant differences that are quite interesting about the processes of woven shopping bag production.

First, PP yarn is produced by taking polypropylene resins and mixing them with additives at high temperatures. The liquid form is then spread into a thin membrane, after which it is quickly cooled, cut into thin strands, then the strands tied into PP yarn. The width of the yarn is customizable based on what the client desires. After that, the yarn strands are woven into the fabric, using a machine that is similar to that used for making other types of clothing and fabric products.

The yarn strands are machine woven into fabric. This special PP fabric is very sturdy and capable of withstanding a lot of pressure…The fabric is then laminated with BOPP film where design and coloration is printed as per requirement. BOPP film allows designers to put much more detail into their designs, as the film is known to hold colour easily and produce nice pictures. A film then goes over the top so it doesn’t rub off with use.

The laminated fabric is cut into small pieces to form different parts of the woven pp bag e.g. body and bottom… Optionally small PVC pipes are utilized to help stiffen the handles and make them easier to hold. Those pieces are then sewn together by sewing the sides together, and then onto the bottom piece. If desired, the bottom can have a sturdy carton sewn into it too for added support.  Optionally customers can order bags with a wine holder sewed inside the bag.

As you can see, there is a lot that goes into the production of a woven PP bag. But, once it is completed and ready for use, it is something that both store owners and customers will consider to be a positive investment. These bags are not only more durable and easier to use, but they are more environmentally friendly as well, which makes them a good choice for everyone as we move forward into a growing world.
